Lara Solnicki is a professional singer, poet and composer. A classically trained singer with a four-octave range, Lara has performed everything from classical music and opera to most recently jazz and new music. Toronto-born Lara enjoys a busy performance schedule, appearing regularly with many of Canada's top musicians. Lara received a BA in 2006 from The Glenn Gould School/ Royal Conservatory of Music, studying voice and piano in the Performance Diploma and Artist Diploma programs. Her debut CD, A Meadow in December, launched in November 2010, has received generous national airplay. Born into a family of professional writers, Lara launched her first book of poems in fall 2006, Disassembled Stars (Lyrical Myrical Press). Her poetry has since appeared in a number of anthologies and magazines.

Ted Quinlan is regarded as one of the most versatile guitar players in Canada. His skills are highly in demand as a jazz player, session musician, writer and educator. Ted is the Head of the Guitar Department at Humber College's Music Program in Toronto. As a busy sideman Ted has performed with Chet Baker, Freddie Hubbard, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, Maria Schneider and Dave Liebman. His debut CD " As If" received a Juno nomination for Contemporary Jazz. “Streetscape”, his most recent CD on Addo records, was released in October of 2009 and features him in a trio setting. His other numerous recording credits include his performances on Doug Riley's "Con Alma", Radioland Records' " Tribute to Wes Montgomery", Phil Dwyer's " Road Stories", Dave Restivo's " Prayer for Humankindness" and Ted Warren's " First Time Caller". Ted is the recipient of the 1998 Jazz Report Award for Guitarist of the Year. 

 

Jon Maharaj is a bass player from Toronto, Canada.  He currently plays with or has played with The Tara Davidson Quartet, The Allison Au Quartet, Dione Taylor, Christian Scott, Matt Stevens, Don Thompson, Mike Murley, Reg Schwager, Emilie Claire Barlow, Denzal Sinclaire, Rez Abassi, The Canadian Tenors, Mark Masri, Sophie Millman,  and many others.  Jon had the opportunity to play bass in the house band for the first two seasons of the CBC television program Triple Sensation, and appeared on the double platinume selling record "the Perfect Gift" by the Canadian Tenors.  He has worked extensively in theatre as well,  and played bass in the Toronto productions of Rock of Ages (Mirvish) and Jersey Boys (Dancap).  In 2007 he was given a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to study in New York City, where he had the opportunity to take private lessons with Drew Gress, Scott Colley, Matt Brewer and Ben Street.  He is currently working on his debut album as a leader, which is set to be released in 2011.
