Music

Music is a wonderful way to experience the divine at a deep emotional level. At Beach United Church, we foster many musical talents, genres, and expressions and weave these into our worship services.

 

Music is important to us: whether it be choral and instrumental music during worship or energetic hymn-singing by the congregation, Beach United is a singing church. Our hymn books are “Voices United” and “More Voices” and music for worship is taken from the broad repertoire of music, representing everything from classical to Taizé, contemporary spirituals to songs of praise.

In addition to our church music programming, Beach United Church is committed to supporting the arts in the local community. We have two beautiful sanctuary spaces available for use by performing arts groups, with pipe organs, pianos and sound systems. Both are centrally located in the Beach on the Queen streetcar line, with two Green P parking lots nearby. Rental rates are negotiable for nonprofit and charitable groups. See our Rentals page for more info.
