HOUSING OUR MINISTRIES

Beach United Church is building a new home to
“house our ministries.”

This will include removing the south wing
of the existing building and significantly redesigning and renovating  the north wing, which includes the sanctuary.

Housing Our Ministries (HOMe)
is an ambitious project being led by a group of volunteers who are overseeing all aspects: finances, design, selection of an architect and contractor, timelines, and so on.

Who's on the Group?

Karen Watson, Project Manager
Linda Hawke,  Communications Lead
Leigh Bowser, Ministry, Values & Requirements Lead
Nanci Harris, Design Lead
Bob Torrance, Property and Construction Lead
Martin McFarland, Finance Lead
Neil Bailey, Relocation Lead
Abigail Johnson, Clergy support

Task Groups

Task Groups are also helping with elements of the work.
For example, many volunteers helped out in the fall and winter of 2009/10 by visiting other churches and buildings that have been renovated.
Site Safaris   were a great opportunity to gather ideas, get involved and get inspired.
